Michael Thompson

Michael Thompson grew up in the inner city and made his way to study at the prestigious Cornell University. After graduating, he worked at McDonald's on the supply chain side for 10 years before transitioning to the operations side for another decade. 

His passion for the restaurant business and his drive to excel further in the industry propelled him to take the next step into entrepreneurship. And he moved on to acquire majority ownership of Fair Oaks Foods in 2003, where he currently serves as President and CEO. 

As an advocate for diversity, he continues to stand as a benchmark for minority businesses, leading by example through insightful leadership and mentorship. Michael has always believed in uplifting from a diversity standpoint through economic power and business ownership and feels that BOSA is a catalyst for creating a long-term community legacy with his fellow black and brown professionals.
